As well as a generous welcome, excellent service, good food and fine wine, all at a very competitive price, Paolo and his team will also provide a memorably happy and relaxed experience. Classic pasta dishes are imaginatively adjusted with the subtle adding of a shallot or sun-dried tomato, the antipasti fresh and aromatic, delicious beef and fish carpacci, the fine selection of fresh fish simply yet imaginatively prepared, the classic Italian veal, chicken and beef dishes with titillating variations and Caraffini's renowned Fegato alla Salvia (Pan-fried CalvesLiver with butter and fresh sage). Home-made Pannacotta and Tiramisu head an extensive dessert menu of simple but delicious "dolce." Special dishes are always on offer and invariably these include a fresh fish such as swordfish or halibut prepared and presented undisguised and unfussily. Taglierini with fresh Lobster is frequently a feature due to popular demand and our chefs constantly produce imaginative dishes that are unusual and tantalising and include such delicacies as wild boar carpaccio, roast partridge, rabbit, fresh prawns and pasta dishes in unexpected combinations.
